LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two Nebraska high school seniors have been chosen as delegates for the National Youth Science Camp in West Virginia.

Aditi Rai from Elkhorn South High School and Sanika Navalkar from Millard North High School will represent Nebraska.

The Nebraska Department of Education said they were chosen for their community involvement, outstanding academic record, humility and interest in a career in science, technology, engineering and math.

The camp includes world-class lectures and seminars with prestigious and up-and-coming STEM professionals, the department said.

The National Youth Science Camp is offered to only a select few participants at no cost.

The experience provides delegates with an opportunity to exchange ideas with professionals from academic, governmental and corporate circles.

The Nebraska students will be able to network with international delegates and delegates from other states.
