Two teens trafficked for sex in Lincoln, LPD investigates
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Wednesday, June 17, the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) learned of two 15-year-old females that had been trafficked for sex in Lincoln.
Through their investigation, they uncovered phone messages between the teens and 30-year-old Luis Alvarez. The man had made an agreement with another male associate to haves sex with one of the teens for money.
On a separate date, Alvarez made yet another agreement with and paid money to a male associate for the second teen, but never had sex with her. This teen reported she was scared and left in Alvarez’s car to get away.
Alvarez later came to LPD Saturday, Aug. 29, and confirmed details of the victim’s statements. He was charged for first-degree sexual assault of a child and attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child.
Officials say this is likely not an isolated incident, and more arrests are possible.
