Two-vehicle crash in southeast Nebraska claims life of Wymore woman
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman has died as the result of a crash north of Fairbury.
Jefferson County deputies say they were called to a two-vehicle crash Friday evening at the east junction of Highway 4 and Highway 15.
An investigation showed a 1999 Suzuki Esteem was going west on Highway 4 when it collided with a southbound 1997 Toyota Xtracab on Highway 15.
The passenger of the Esteem, Angelica Edwards-Kouma of Wymore, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. They were taken to the Jefferson Community Health and Life hospital for treatment.
The Nebraska State Patrol is reconstructing the crash, which remains under investigation.
