U. of Neb. students react to Big Ten annoucement
Nebraska students are disappointed yet understand the Big Ten's decision.
LINCOLN, Neb. – The instant reaction from students in regards to the Big Ten’s decision to cancel the fall sports season was not surprising – they are disappointed.
“I mean I already bought season tickets,” said incoming Freshman Jake Hoy. “I was ready to go to every single home game.”
Several students will miss the tradition and excitement of Husker football games every Saturday.
“We were super disappointed, me and my friends,” said Nebraska sophomore Nico Foley. “We would always try to get front row at the games last year. We would get up really early to wait in line.”
However, several students believe there may be a way for Nebraska to play football this fall.
“So now we are hoping that Nebraska will look to another conference like the Big 12,” said Foley. “I think Scott Frost is a really smart guy, and I love that he’s still trying to get the football team to play.”
