UPDATE: U-Stop robbed at gunpoint, investigation ongoing

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) –Monday, Sept. 7, LPD officers responded to a report of a robbery at U-Stop, 2925 NW 12th St. They arrived on scene around 12:15 a.m. and contacted a female employee who said two suspects, one male and one female, entered the store. The female demanded money from the register and the male placed the barrel of a gun against the clerk’s head.

The suspects departed from the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk was uninjured.

The following day, the LPD forensic unit processed fingerprints found at the crime scene and obtained an identification for an individual later identified as 26-year-old Kimberly Williams.

Williams was located Friday, Sept. 11, just after 3:30 p.m. along with her vehicle at a motel near the 900 block of Oak Street. Officers search the vehicle and found clothing, including masks and gloves, suspected to have been worn during the robbery.

A roll of quarters in connecting to the robbery and 0.3 grams of a substance that pre-tested positive for methamphetamine was also found.

Officers cited and lodged Williams for felony robbery, felony aid/abet use of firearm to commit a felony, and felony possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators are still searching for the other individual involved in this robbery.
