United Way of Lincoln has raised $288,000 for refugee resettlement fund

United way of Lincoln and Lancaster County fundraiser drive at Channel 8

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County is nearing the goal set for its refugee resettlement fund.

So far, the group has raised about $288,000 of its $400,000 goal.  The money will help refugees coming to Lincoln with basics like housing, transportation and child care.

Donations can still be made online at unitedwaylincoln.org or by texting “RESETTLE” AT 41444.

Thank you to everyone who came down to Channel 8 on Wednesday and dropped off donations during the fundraiser in our parking lot.
