UPDATE: Lincoln Police arrest man in laptop robbery

UPDATE: Lincoln Police have made an arrested after a man trying to sell a laptop was robbed at gunpoint.

Police identified 23-year-old Sebit Chan through the Facebook account he was using to buy the laptop. 

On September 11 just after 6 a.m. police were called to an apartment in the 300 block of West Charleston on a disturbance. 

Inside the apartment officers found Chan.

When police tried to arrest him, he was uncooperative and grabbed onto the officers arm, but officers were able to handcuff him and arrest him for robbery.


Lincoln Police say a man was robbed at gunpoint while trying to sell a laptop. 

LPD says the victim arranged to meet with a buyer at an apartment complex in the 300 block of W Charleston.

The 23-year-old victim told police that he met a man who took the laptop, pointed a gun at him, refused to pay him and then ran away. 

Police say the man used Facebook Marketplace to arrange the meeting. 

The victim described the man he met with as a black male in his 20s, around 5’10” with a medium build.

He said the man had short curly hair and was wearing a hoodie.
