UPDATE: More than 60 vandalism cases reported in northeast Lincoln

Lincoln Police said Thursday morning the number of reported cases from an apparent vandalism spree in northeast Lincoln has doubled since Wednesday. 

In total, LPD has received 62 reports of vandalism, mostly to vehicles. 

Police estimate the damage to exceed $25,000. 

Lincoln police said a string of calls started coming in at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Many people awoke to find police cards on their broken windshields so they could call.

Officers are still looking for two or three suspects who were reportedly driving a dark colored hatchback. Police said it appears a baseball bat or golf club was used to smash the vehicles. 

So far no arrests have been made.
