LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Monday marks a historic milestone in the COVID-19 pandemic, as the first Nebraska healthcare workers receive the Pfizer vaccine.

After receiving the first shipment of the vaccine Monday morning, shots were already being given by that afternoon.

Bryan Health received 975 doses and vaccinated over 400 employees by 4 p.m. They are already expecting another shipment on Tuesday, which they will use to vaccinate more employees that work closely with COVID-19 patients.
