VIDEO: Crisis continues in Texas, now with water shortage

Texas (CNN) — The crisis in Texas continues as residents face shortages of food, fuel, and water.

Frozen or burst pipes and disabled water treatment plants have placed nearly half the state’s population under a boil water advisory.

In his latest press briefing Governor Greg Abbott estimating 14 million people are now experiencing disturbed water services, while 165,000 remain without power.

So far, 1.7 million bottles of water have been distributed across Texas, with 84,000 being airlifted to Galveston alone.

FEMA is set to provide more ambulances to help transport resident in need of medical services

Some good news is that temperatures are expected to warm up this weekend, with more citizens getting their power back online.

But Texans are left frustrated, wanting to know how the situation got so bad.
