VIDEOS: MSU super fan, internet sensation back at College World Series
OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The College World Series (CWS) is back, along with Mississippi State, which means 2018 internet sensation Terry Powell is ready to cheer on his favorite MSU team.
This year, he’s using his internet fame to raise money for Police Athletics for Community Engagement (PACE), an athletic organization for kids that was founded by an Omaha police officer in 2005.
Powell went viral three years ago when he jokingly told Omaha reporters that his “wife’s boyfriend” sold his prosthetic leg on Craigslist so that he could attend the series.
Powell did return in 2019 with more wild stories and raised money for an Alzheimer’s charity.
This year, he came to town with a prosthetic leg, auctioning it off as a fundraiser for PACE.
Powell told Omaha reporters that he expects to conduct the auction through his Twitter account Thursday evening starting around 6 pm.
