Vintage valuables taken from Lincoln storage unit

On September 18th, a 54-year-old Omaha man reported he discovered his mother’s belongings had been stolen from a storage unit near 18th and Pioneers Blvd in Lincoln.

He placed her belongings in the unit in June.

He went to the unit and his key wouldn’t work on the lock, so the owner met him at the unit to cut the lock.

They discovered the unit was empty.

The victim said at one point he had the items appraised at $20,000, which included a dining room set from the 1930’s and chinaware.
