WarHorse Gaming announces plans for Norfolk property

Winnebago, Neb. (KLKN) – WarHorse Gaming, LLC announced a plan to construct a five furlong horse racing track and gaming facility at the current DeVent Center in Norfolk, Neb.

WarHorse Gaming representatives will apply for a racing license on Friday, July 16, before breaking ground on construction.

Construction on the track and facility could begin later this year, with full operations beginning Spring 2022.

The planned site is anticipated to contribute about $2.1 million in annual tax revenue to Norfolk and Madison County and employ about 250 people.
