Warm and humid weekend, including the warmest Father’s Day in 34 years

If you like heat and humidity, you will love the upcoming weekend.  Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s to around 100 both Saturday and Sunday.

Skies will be mainly sunny and hazy Saturday.  It could be breezy at times, with gusts to 23 mph out of the south-southeast.

Temperatures will climb to the middle 90s to near 100.  Humidity will be high, as dew points are projected to be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.  That will send the heat index into the lower 100s at times Saturday afternoon.

We won’t cool off much overnight Saturday into Sunday.  Lows will only be in the middle 70s under clear skies.

Temperatures continue to climb on Sunday as an upper-level high moves over the central United States.  Highs will be in the upper 90s to lower 100s with sunny to mostly sunny skies.  Factor in the humidity, and it will feel like it is in the 100s.  Winds will also increase Sunday.
