Warm and quiet today, before temperatures tumble & snow arrives 3/8/2022

Temperatures are in the teens this morning with light wind speeds resulting in single digit wind chill values. Bundle up in layers before you head out the door, but make sure you can gradually shed the layers. Temperatures warm into the upper 40s and low 50s this afternoon, making today the warmest day of the work week. Some clouds may build in for the second half of the day as a frontal system passes through. This also has the very small chance to squeeze out some showers, but I expect most of the area to stay dry. Temperatures drop back into the upper teens and low 20s tonight with increasing clouds by sunrise. Overcast skies hang around all day on Wednesday and temperatures only reach the 30s. Highs drop even further for Thursday and Friday with temperatures in the 20s both days. Snow is still expected late Wednesday into the entire day on Thursday. Several inches are expected, but we won’t have specific snow totals until this evening when guidance starts to agree a bit more on the storm location. One thing we know for sure is that the morning commute on Thursday will be messy!
