A warm, breezy & SUNNY day across Nebraska! Highs will reach the 70s & 80s with a SW breeze 10-15+ mph. Critical fire weather will occur across much of the state. A beautiful Spring afternoon!
Critical fire weather is expected throughout the day for much of the area, with SE Nebraska excluded. This is due to isolated rainfall and storms from recent systems.
Friday afternoon, a VERY SMALL chance for light rain in far SE Nebraska. The severe weather will stay well to our south and east Friday evening.
Meanwhile, the sandhills region could see some light rain/snow Friday afternoon as temperatures drop to near freezing.
FREEZE WATCHES are in place starting Friday evening. Temperatures will drop below freezing for much of the state Friday night into Saturday morning. I would bring any plants inside starting Friday afternoon.
