Warm & Sunny Next Few Days
A warm, windy & sunny spring day across Nebraska! Highs will reach the 70s & 80s with a SE breeze 10-15+ mph with gusts up to 25-30 mph. Critical fire weather will occur across much of the state Monday.
Wednesday evening, a few strong to severe storms will develop out west. LARGE HAIL & gusty winds being the main threats. Much needed moisture will be within any T-storms Wednesday for the Sandhills region!
Thursday evening looks more promising on the rain/storm chances. A cold front will move through Thursday evening, meaning the atmosphere will have time to DESTABILIZE. LARGE HAIL & DAMAGING WINDS will be the main threats. Stay tuned to the latest forecasts through this week!
A day 4 outlook for severe weather is in place for all of SE Nebraska Thursday. We will most likely will see a MARGINAL risk near the Tri-cities with a SLIGHT risk including Lincoln, Omaha and areas SE.
A warm & windy Monday. Tuesday brings less wind but hotter temperatures. Wednesday will be a windy one with storm chances out west near 5-8pm. Thursday will be mostly sunny & warm. This means more time for the atmosphere to destabilize for rain/storm chances by the evening ahead of the cold front. Saturday looks dry for much of the morning, before increasing rain/storm chances through Sunday afternoon. Next week looks cooler than average with limited precipitation chances.
