Warmer afternoon temps today 12/21/2021

The winter solstice will mark the start of winter at 9:59 AM today, and it sure does feel like winter out there! Temperatures are in the teens and twenties this morning, but wind speeds are making it feel like the single digits. Bundle up the kids before you send them out the door and make sure you warm your car up! The cold temperatures will be short-lived though, as temperatures warm back above average by the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid to upper 40s today with mostly sunny skies and a bit of a breeze. The teens return overnight tonight, but another quick boost in temperatures brings us back to the upper 40s tomorrow. Temperatures gradually warm every single day leading up to Christmas and we remain dry.
