Warmer weekend, storms possible
The bitterly cold temperatures are going to be a distant memory for a while. Highs will be in the 40s and 50s for the next 10 days with a 60 possible on Sunday! There’s a chance for storms Sunday night into Monday, then another chance towards the end of next week. Otherwise, it’s looking dry most of next week.
Highs on Saturday will be a little above average. The normal high is in the middle 40s, we’ll be in the upper 40s to around 50 with lots of sunshine and a southwest breeze.
After a cold start, Saturday is going to be a pretty nice day. We’ll see mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 40s. The wind won’t be too much of an issue, either.
We warm up even more on Sunday. With partly cloudy skies, temperatures will try for 60 degrees. However, there’s a chance for storms the 2nd half of the day.
Some rain will be possible in the afternoon, but strong storms will be possible Sunday night into very early Monday morning. Hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns.
Because of this storm potential, there is a Marginal, Slight, and Enhanced Risk for severe weather in place. We’re on the very northern fringe of this.
