Warming back up in time for the weekend

Temperatures will be warming right back up after the brief cooldown we experienced Thursday. We’ll be waking up to mostly sunny skies on Friday morning, which will remain through the day. High temperatures will be in the middle-50s across the area.

Friday Forecast

Clouds will return late Friday night as some upper-level energy passes through. This will allow for pockets of a rain/snow mix in southwest Nebraska on Friday evening, with plain snow farther north.

Much of this activity will fade away as the night progresses. Nevertheless, a few snow showers will be possible in northern Nebraska. Stray flurries/sprinkles can’t be ruled out in southern Nebraska early Saturday. This activity exits quickly, and skies will turn mostly sunny by Saturday afternoon.

Stormcast Fri Sat Am

We should be able to reach the 50s once again on Saturday, and we may even reach the 60s on Sunday. However, temperatures will gradually fall next week.

This means our luck may run out next weekend. The latest temperature outlook for Wednesday through next Sunday indicates a decent chance of seeing below-average temperatures during that stretch.
