Warming up Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
We are going to warm back up as we head into the weekend. Highs will be 5 to 15 degrees above average Friday, Saturday, and especially Sunday. Precipitation chances are small, but a brief shower is possible Saturday morning, then again late next week.
Temperatures Friday morning will be very close to normal for early March. Most of us will be in the 20s with partly cloudy skies and a light breeze.
The warm up begins Friday afternoon with half of the state warmer than the other. Highs in the eastern half will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s with the western half in the 30s and 40s.
For Lincoln, temperatures will start in the middle and upper 20s with a light breeze. The wind will remain light all day and we’ll see mostly sunny skies for much of the day. The high will get into the middle 50s.
There will be a weak disturbance floating through early Saturday morning, giving us a chance for light rain to the south and light snow to the north. Most of us will remain dry.
