WATCH: Porch pirate steals $430 package in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is asking for help from the community in identifying two people caught stealing on camera.

In the first theft, someone took a package worth $430 off a porch.

LPD said that as the holidays approach, you should be vigilant with your deliveries.

Having your package sent to friends, family or your work or asking for it to be left somewhere specific, like behind a trash can, could help you avoid losing your deliveries.

This theft occurred on Oct. 24 near the intersection of 18th and H Streets.

The second theft happened a few days later, on Friday.

Cordless power tools and their batteries were stolen from a garage near 29th and Orchard Streets.

The camera in the garage caught the theft, but police are looking for help identifying the person in the video.

If you have any information about either case, you can contact LPD at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
