WATCH: Thieves take $3,500 in tools from Lincoln middle school
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A group of thieves walked away from a job site at Dawes Middle School with $3,500 worth of tools, Lincoln Police say.
On Thursday, security video captured them entering a construction site at the school near 52nd Street and Colfax Avenue.
Police are still searching for the thieves, who are seen in the video rummaging through the job site.
They left with toolboxes, various tools, a laser pointer and copper wiring, according to police.
Police are also searching for a woman who stole a phone that laying on the counter at a store near Cotner Boulevard and R Street on Feb. 10.
Security video shows the woman slide the phone into her purse once the coast is clear.
Police say she arrived in a white Chevy Silverado, which had a “significant” amount of paint chipping.
