Water restrictions fall on City of Fairbury during stage two of a water emergency
FAIRBURY, Neb. (KLKN) — Mayor Kelly Davis of Fairbury has announced a water warning due to the drought conditions. Davis requests community members to conserve their water usage while the town is in stage two of a water emergency.
The stage two of a water emergency happens when the system uses 1.2 million gallons of water per day for three consecutive days.
The restrictions include an odd/even outdoor watering schedule with no watering before 10 a.m. or after 9 p.m. Pools are limited to one refill per week.
Anyone who does not follow the restrictions has the possibility of having their water shut off.
The restrictions will remain as long as the water emergency is ongoing.
