Waverly explodes in the second half to defeat Mount Michael

WAVERLY, Neb. (KLKN) – The Waverly Vikings shut out the Mount Michael Knights at home on Friday night.

The 30-0 game was a defensive battle in which neither team could find good offensive momentum.

Both teams were scoreless going into the second half.

But Waverly’s offense exploded to score 30 unanswered points, and the defense kept the Knights off the board all game.

Waverly will hit the road to take on Norris next Friday.

Mount Michael will play at home against Plattsmouth.
