Wednesday Evening Weather Update

Mostly clear skies Wednesday night – along with some haze from wildfires in the western United States.  Temperatures will drop to the upper 40°s to lower 50°s by morning.

Expect to see mostly sunny skies Thursday with smoke causing haze in the sky.  It should make for a different looking sunrise and sunset Thursday.  High temperatures will be in the middle 70°s.

SMELL OF SMOKE IN THE AIR

A weak cold front passed through the region late Wednesday afternoon, pushing smoke from higher levels of the atmosphere to the surface.  That is one of the reasons for reduced visibility and a hint of smokey smell to the air.
