Week 7 high school football roundup: Waverly continues decade-long win streak over Norris, and more

FIRTH, Neb. (KLKN) – A three touchdown performance from Gavin McMillan – who has the flu – and three takeaways led Waverly to keep its decade-plus long win streak alive over Norris, as the Vikings took down the Titans 48-12 in Channel 8’s Game of the Week Friday night at Titan Stadium.
The defending Class B champion Vikings (5-2) got off to a fast start, taking a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. McMillan scored one of his touchdowns, while Cash Beckman rushed one in from 60-yards out. From there, Waverly commanded the lead and never looked back.
Waverly is next in action against Pius X in Week 8, while Norris (3-4) takes on Gretna next Friday night.
