White Team claims victory in Husker Spring Game

Memorial Stadium was buzzing with excitement as fans were let in to watch the Nebraska Spring Game.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) –After over a year of an empty Memorial Stadium, fans were back in the stands as Husker Football battled it out in their Spring Game.

After the 1st quarter: The Red team lead 7-0 over the White team. Marvin Scott with a 4-yard TD run for the game’s only score.

At the half, Red was still on top 13-0 as Connor Culp had a pair of field goals for the lone offensive spark in the 2nd Quarter.

Things started to heat up in the 3rd with the White team finally getting on the score board, 14-13.

In the 4th, just when the clock had expired, Red was on top. A quick change of rules allowed the White team one more play, with no time left on the clock. That was all they would need to get the final touchdown of the game and win it all.

Final: White 21, Red 20. Wyatt Liewer catches a TD pass from Heinrich Haarberg to win the game on the final play of the game.
