LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Phase 1-A is over and the CDC has announced who is next to receive the vaccine in Phases 1-B and 1-C.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted almost unanimously on the Phase 1-B plan on Sunday.

As these new doses make their way around America, the CDC says frontline essential workers and adults ages 75 and older should be the priority.

As for Phase 1-C, it suggests prioritizing adults ages 65-75, people with pre-existing conditions, and other essential workers.

Initial vaccine doses are already going to residents in long-term care facilities and other healthcare workers.

Phase 1-B, likely to begin rollout in January: 

  • First responders
  • Educators
  • People who work in:
    • Food and agriculture
    • Manufacturing
    • Corrections
    • The postal service
    • Public transit
    • Grocery stores

Phase 1-C, likely to come in early February:

  • Adults 65 years and older
  • People who work in:
    • Transportation and logstics
    •  Food service
    • IT & communications
    • Energy
    • Media
    • Legal
    • Public safety
    • Water and waste
    • Bank tellers and other bank employees
