Wild Wednesday forecast 3/10/2021

We are starting off your Wednesday with windy conditions as wind gusts are already near 30 mph. These blustery conditions will only get worse as we head closer to noon. Wind gusts will quickly approach 45-50 mph. As for our current temperatures, we are extremely mild in the 50s and 60s! We will quickly warm up and reach our high temperature in the low 70s by noon ahead of a cold front. Once the cold front passes through in the afternoon, temperatures will drop for the rest of the day into the evening. There is a slight chance that far southeastern counties could see a few isolated thunderstorms late this evening. But most of the storms appear to bubble up on the Kansas and Missouri sides. Temperatures return to the mid-30s overnight and highs are stuck in the 50s for the remainder of the week. The 40s return this weekend with a chance for rain and snow.

  • TODAY: High temperatures will top out in the low 70s around 12 PM. After that, temperatures drop into the evening thanks to a cold front. Windy conditions will be at their peak from 8AM-12PM today with wind gusts up to 50 mph possible. A few late-night thunderstorms are possible as well.  WIND ADVISORY & RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT HIGH: 71
  • THURSDAY: Still above average, but a bit cooler with highs in the mid-50s. HIGH: 56
  • FRIDAY: Even cooler with mostly cloudy skies. HIGH: 53
