Will Honas joins fellow Blackshirts to return for extra season
Honas started each of the seven games he played as a senior. He finished second on the team with 57 tackles.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Erik Chinanders Blackshirt defense is shaping up to be pretty darn special in 2021.
Senior linebacker Will Honas became another member of that Husker defense to opt in for an extra season in Lincoln. He joins senior teammates Deontai Williams, Marquel Dismuke and JoJo Domann to do the same.
Honas started each of the seven games he played as a senior. He finished second on the team with 57 tackles and led the Huskers with 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks, setting career highs in both categories. For his efforts, Honas was recognized as an honorable-mention All-Big Ten selection.
With Honas’ announcement, the Huskers now return their top eight tacklers from the 2020 season.
