Windy & Cooler Election Day
A WINDY & warm day across Nebraska! NW winds 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30+ mph. State highs reaching the 70s & 80s under mostly sunny skies! A weak cold front is in charge of the winds & cooler air.
High temperatures a lot different than Monday! Temperatures will be 20 degrees cooler farther northwest. Temperatures will range from the 70s to the 80s this afternoon. The warmer spots farther SE due to a weak cold front this afternoon.
Wednesday will be a pleasant day! Light winds, warm temperatures and lots of sunshine. Thursday turns very windy! South winds could gusts up to 50+ mph across the state. Friday will be HOT! Winds will be light, lots of sunshine and even a bit of humidity Friday afternoon.
Saturday evening: A few isolated storms will develop in far SE Nebraska. LARGE HAIL, gusty winds & an isolated tornado threat will all be concerns. The main severe weather looks to stay close to the NE & KS border.
Sunday (2PM-Midnight): Scattered strong to severe storms will form west to east. A cluster of storms will form by the evening in SE Nebraska. LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS & isolated TORNADOES will all be concerns. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
