The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Lancaster, Seward, Saline and Jefferson County.

Two to four inches of heavy wet snow could fall in the area.

Power outages are being reported by downed trees and power lines.   If you see a downed power line, stay away and call 911.   LES reports about 7700 customers are without power in Lincoln.   Norris Public Power is reporting about 1000 outages in Lancaster, Saline and Seward Counties.   The Omaha Public Power District which serves 14 Eastern Nebraska Counties reports nearly 50,000 outages.  

LES spokesperson Rachel Barth said they are unsure how long people will face outages.  She said they no longer fix one problem and more outages are reported.  

Numerous accidents have also been reported. Traffic on the interstate has been slow and backed up in many areas.  For more information on travel, http://www.511.nebraska.gov/
