Woman fears for life, stranger brandishes a knife

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police spoke with a woman who said she feared for her life after a stranger threatened her with a knife.

Tuesday, police were called to 20th and “G” Streets around one o’clock Tuesday afternoon where they made contact with a 22-year-old victim.

She said that ask she left her apartment building, a stranger confronted her with a knife, yelling threatening statements and making a stabbing motion.

Adding to the general concern, Lincoln High School was located only blocks away from where the incident occurred.

However, officers were able to quickly identify the suspect as 28-year-old Andrew Spalding.

Spalding was found with a 4-inch blade tucked into the waistband of his pants.

He was arrested for terroristic threats and carrying a concealed weapon.
