Woman pepper-sprayed after punching officer in face, Lincoln Police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Saturday after she punched an officer in the face, Lincoln Police say.

Around 3 a.m., officers were sent to a home near North First and Adams Streets on a report of a fight.

When officers arrived, they separated two women who were fighting in the driveway.

Mariah Williams, 28, tried to continue the fight, but officers blocked her path.  She then punched one of the officers in the face, according to police.

The officer pepper-sprayed Williams, and she was taken into custody.

Williams was arrested on suspicion of assault on an officer.
