LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln family wants answers tonight.

A woman hit in the street while lighting off fireworks, the driver, not stopping. It’s caught on tape.

“I’m all cut up and my collar bone is broken,” said Graham.

Those are just a couple of Emilia Graham’s injuries.
The 21–year–old was lighting off fireworks with her family in Northwest Lincoln.

When all of a sudden, a car speeds through the street, hitting Emilia and launching her into the air.
” I saw a flash of light come out of the corner of my eye and I turned and saw a car and it was about 30 to 40 feet away from hitting her and I saw the car hit her,” said Adanya Hogan. Her body went flying from the street to the side of the curb.”

Her mom who took her to the hospital was shocked that the driver didn’t stop.

“I don’t know I’m just so angry that somebody could just go that and not even stop or even like feel the consciousness of the next day,” said Jamie Graham.

Looking at the video, many people would say she’s lucky to be alive.
She says she’s just glad it was her and not some of her younger family members who were there with them.

“I’m happy it was me instead of a kid and you know if you’re going through things, everyone’s going through things,” said Emilia. “Whenever you come forward I’m not mad. “So everything’s okay. I’m fine. I mean I’m alive so everything’s okay.”

Police are asking anyone with information on who was driving that car to call them.
That number 402- 441–6000. Emilia tells me she has no hard feelings against that driver. She just wants them to come forward.
