Woman struck neighbor’s head with pry bar during argument, Lincoln Police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Friday after she hit a neighbor’s head with a metal pry bar during an argument, Lincoln Police say.
Around 12:30 p.m., a 28-year-old woman reported that she had been assaulted by her neighbor near 56th and Holdrege Streets.
Police say the victim had knocked on 30-year-old Deanita Dill’s front door after their children got into a fight outside.
Dill then hit the victim on the head with a pry bar, according to police. The victim had to be taken to a local hospital to be treated for a laceration on her head.
When officers arrived at Dill’s home, they arrested her on suspicion of second-degree assault and the use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Officers also searched the home and found the pry bar inside, according to police.
