Women turns herself in for fatal crash in May
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) announced that an arrest has been made regarding a fatal crash occurring in May.
The crash occurred on May 22 around 10:30 a.m. Today, Joy Fritz-Hock, 60, of Harvard turned herself into LPD.
Fritz-Hock was cited and released for misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide.
The investigation of the crash determined that Fritz-Hock was turning left onto R Street when her vehicle, a Dodge Caravan containing three people, collided with a Toyota RAV4 also containing three people. Five people were taken to the hospital for injuries.
Maxine Sundberg, 84, of Clarks died from those injuries on June 14.
According to LPD, investigators believe Fritz-Hock “unintentionally caused the death of Sundberg by failing to yield.”
Fritz-Hock is set to be arraigned in September.
