‘Worst accident I’ve ever seen’: 2 injured after car plows into Lincoln family’s yard
Authorities say two people were injured after a car lost control and plowed into a the yard of a Lincoln home.

Authorities say two people were injured after a car lost control and plowed into a the yard of a Lincoln home.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday near 30th and Y St.
Katherine Omer witnessed it. She told Channel 8 Eyewitness News the family was sitting outdoors enjoying the weather when the car came at them.
“I heard a boom and I thought it was fire works and then my coworker Jim just came over and goes, ‘Kat you better come over here there was a bad accident,'” Omer said.
The car hit several objects, including a tree, fire hydrant and street sign.
Officials said two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses said it was “amazing” no one was killed.
“It’s the worst accident I’ve ever seen on this street ever,” Omer said.
Witnesses told Channel 8 Eyewitness News the car was coming down Y St. and speeding when the driver – who has not been identified – lost control.
One person was sitting at a picnic table and others were in the yard at the time, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
