Wreaths Across America honors Lincoln veterans

Wyuka Cemetery was one of more than 2,500 participating locations

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The 2021 Wreaths Across America event on Saturday honored over 1,800 veterans at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln.

The annual ceremony is held to honor soldiers who have passed, as wreaths are laid on headstones in remembrance.

Wreaths Across America says their mission is to “remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of freedom.”

Lincoln was one of more than 2,500 locations across the country and around the world to hold the ceremony, with millions of wreaths being laid nationwide.
