York Fire Department responded to record number of calls in 2022
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The York Fire Department is thanking the community for its support in 2022, when it responded to a record number of calls.
More than 1,600 calls were placed to the department, a 14% increase from 2021, and around 1,000 required a response, a 66% increase from 2021.
The department said it logged more than 3,200 hours of training and education to prepare crews for the record-setting volume of calls.
