York man charged with murder after woman found shot to death, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A York man is facing a first-degree murder charge after a woman was found dead in a home Monday night, police say.
Around 9:50 p.m., officers were sent to a home near Lincoln and Platte Avenues to investigate a reported shooting.
After entering the home, officers found Stacie Beutler, who had multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.
She was later pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
Officers then received information that the shooter was at another home in York.
About 30 minutes later, officers found and arrested 47-year-old Bart Beutler on suspicion of first-degree murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
He was then taken to the York County Jail.
