York shelter searching for a home for border collie on the mend
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Mike is a 2-to 3-year-old border collie. At least, that’s what York Adopt-A-Pet thinks.
He was in very rough shape when the shelter found him and was never claimed.
Mike was so matted, he had to be shaved all the way down, and some spots in his fur are still growing back.
He’s on supplements to help him regrow his beautiful coat.
Mike’s jaw isn’t quite straight, which leads the shelter to believe he had some sort of accident. But he doesn’t let that slow him down; he runs through the dog park like a puppy.
He likes some dogs but doesn’t seem thrilled about dogs that jump all over him. And he doesn’t love staying outside for hours; he’d rather be in his kennel with his bed and some toys.
Mike needs an indoor home, with lots of options for running, playing and snuggling.
