LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Plow, plow, plow, Snowplow Santa is coming to town.

The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department announced Thursday that Snowplow Santa will spread holiday cheer in the capital city next week.

Santa will drive around Lincoln in a snowplow and make stops at the Walt Branch Library and the Eiseley Branch Library on Dec. 17.

This is the third time Snowplow Santa has visited Lincoln, the department said in a press release.

“We are offering community members a quick and easy way to celebrate this iconic moment during the holidays while being able to take a closer look at one of our new super combo snowplows,” LTU Director Liz Elliot said in the release. “This free and safe opportunity to connect with Saint Nick is our City team members’ way of giving back to our great community.”

The city unveiled its new fleet of versatile snowplows at an October press conference.

The trucks, which cost the city $301,583.50 each, are able to spray anti-icing material, spread a salt and brine mix, and plow snow, officials said.
