Young bobcat found at campground outside of Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska Wildlife Rehab, Inc. (NWR) unveiled the recent arrival of a bobcat kitten.
The bobcat reportedly approached campers at a campground. According to NWR, young bobcats are naturally curious. However, this bobcat was too comfortable around people.
NWR said this raised worries that he was orphaned or separated from his mother.
The campers made sure he was brought to NWR.
The veterinary team determined the bobcat was thin and had fractures in both hind legs. The fractures showed substantial healing. Bloodwork showed nutritional deficiencies.
NWR said despite the injuries and deficiencies, they will be able give him proper car, minimal human contact and enough time for him to become a formidable adult.
