Zipline’s Lincoln taproom is closing so brewery can expand

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Zipline Brewing is closing its west Lincoln taproom to make way for a bigger brewery.

Zipline currently makes about 17,000 cans of beer a day. After the expansion, that number will exceed 30,000.

“It’s bittersweet to see the growth but also lose that original taproom,” co-founder and CEO Marcus Powers said.

The taproom, near Highway 77 and West O Street, will close at the end of the week, but until then, the brewery will be holding special events.

Zipline also has a beer hall near Pine Lake Road and 56 Street.
