The Nebraska athletic director told Channel 8's Andrew Ward in a 1-on-1 interview he doesn't believe beer or wine will be sold inside Memorial Stadium anytime soon.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Bill Moos says alcohol sales at Husker sporting events aren’t being discussed right now. The Nebraska athletic director told Channel 8’s Andrew Ward in a 1-on-1 interview he doesn’t believe beer or wine will be sold inside Memorial Stadium anytime soon.
“That’s not on the table right now,” Moos said.
Moos covered a variety of topics during the sit down interview. He said he believes Husker sporting events will be at full capacity this fall, that includes football.
“I’m very confident right now,” Moos said.
Moos reflected on the past year of the pandemic, and the adversity many Husker student-athletes and coaches faced. He also addressed the tensions between the school and the Big Ten during talks about postponing the fall sports season. He says Nebraska’s relationship with the conference is at a solid place right now.
“The Big Ten is a great conference and we’re more than happy to be a part of it,” Moos said.
Moos also gave a vote of confidence to Husker football coach Scott Frost, who enters his fourth season. Moos believes the Huskers can reach eight or nine wins in 2021.
The athletic director and several other coaches and staff members hit the road for the Big Red Blitz on Wednesday.
