One more day with rain chance before temperatures go up
Tuesday marks the fourth consecutive day at or below normal in Lincoln. That is the first time to happen since May 31 through June 3. We’ll likely see this streak come to an end soon as warmer air is returning to southeast Nebraska by end of the week.
A few showers and thunderstorms will remain possible through Tuesday evening in southeast Nebraska. Overnight, skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy. Low temperatures will be in the middle 60°s.
Wednesday brings another chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon. This may keep temperatures from getting too high in the afternoon. Temperatures should top out in the middle 80°s. I’m forecasting 86° in Lincoln.
Rain shuts off starting Thursday and that is when temperatures start to go back up. Temperatures should return to around normal for this time of year.
