* TIMING...Noon CDT / 11 AM MDT to 10 PM CDT / 9 PM MDT.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* TEMPERATURES...Upper 80s to lower 90s, warmest across the
central and northern Sandhills.

The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* WINDS...Southwest winds between 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30
to 35 mph this afternoon. North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to
35 MPH Tuesday afternoon.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15-20 percent both today and
Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...South Central Nebraska and North Central
Kansas Locations outside of the warning will still be expected
to reach elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions.
