Kearney Regional Medical Center joins Bryan Health’s network

Bryan Health

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – On January, 1st Kearney Regional Medical Center (KRMC) joined Bryan Health, a Nebraska-owned and governed health system.  Bryan Health will now become a not-for-profit healthcare system and will implement a new board to assist in not-for-profit decisions.

The partnership comes after KRMC approached Bryan Health in hopes to help round out the medical care patients receive closer to home rather than traveling to Lincoln or Omaha to receive specialized care.  One of the primary goals in the partnership was to maintain the locally governed health system that both companies value.

With the addition of KRMC’s 850 employees, Bryan Health now employs more than 6,300 Nebraskans focused on treatment, prevention, and education.

All employees of KRMC have kept their jobs through the partnership.  Bryan Health and KRMC both anticipate room for job growth at each location as they continue to grow.

Patients of KRMC won’t see much change from the partnership.  However, they should begin to see a larger variety of care and additional specialized physicians as KRMC continues to grow.

Physicians will not need to rotate between medical centers, though they will be able to collaborate with each other in order to provide the best care possible to patients of all Bryan Health-owned facilities.

While the visual identity of KRMC is changing to align with Bryan Health, the name Kearney Regional Medical Center will remain unchanged.

Moving forward, Bryan Health will be represented in the overarching structure, KRMC will generate the majority of appointments and physicians.
